In 2007 I moved back to San Diego from London. You see, I caught the real estate bug after renovating 3 homes in the UK and decided to create a business of my own that renovated, leased and sold homes called ‘Angie’s Bungalows’. It turns out that it was the best decision I ever made because when I decided to go back to work full time in 2013 I already had a strong foundation in Real Estate and getting my real estate license was a natural extension of my passion.
Since then, I have been helping families buy and sell homes in San Diego. I grew up in California and live in Carmel Valley. I chose to buy my home here because of the schools, proximity to downtown and north county and the beaches! I graduated from UCSD and received a BA in Sociology and Minored in Music and Law and Society. I furthered my love of learning abroad and got a Masters from Cardiff University, UK in Urban Planning and Sustainable Transport Design. I had the rare opportunity to live and work in Europe and Korea for almost a decade where I worked as a Sustainable Transport Planner and made friendships with people from many diverse cultural backgrounds.
During that period of time I also bought and sold 3 homes and renovated an old Victorian Home. I fell in love with architecture, design and interior design. I was obsessed with design and home shows like Grand Designs, Property Ladder and Location, location, location.
I love what I do. I help people. Real Estate for me is about trust, forming relationships and knowing that my clients always feel that I ‘have their back’ in their transaction. I dedicate time each week to prospect for buyers and sellers in San Diego. So if you see me, don’t forget to stop and say hello! People say that I am one of the friendliest people you will meet.
If I weren’t helping families find homes as a Realtor I would be a chef. You will often find me in a farmer’s market, trying out a new restaurant or soaking up the sun at my favorite beach with my 3 kids and Spot the dog on weekends.
I am a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy with a love for real-estate. I grew up in city of Chicago where owning homes was not common. I believe that is what drew me to this career field. I graduated Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, in October 2000 and began my Navy Career as an Operations Specialist Anti-Submarine Tactical Air Controller (ASTAC). Post 9/11 I completed two shipboard combat deployments to the Mediterranean in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF), one shipboard maiden deployment to Western Pacific in support of Freedom of Navigation Operations and one disaster relief operation to New Orleans in support of Hurricane Katrina. I also served on numerous international maritime exercises to include Rim of the Pacific 2014.
In 2010 my career landed me in sunny San Diego and in 2016 I tried my hand at real-estate. I was the first in my family to own a home and I wanted to share my knowledge and help with others. I have a passion for customer service and helping people achieve their dreams and goals, cliché, but it’s true. Four years as a manager at KFC throughout high school providing quality service to people motivated me, even if it was just serving chicken. As a California realtor I have helped families buying and selling homes transitioning to and from overseas, I have helped people with real-estate investment ventures and I have helped single parents find homes to raise their children.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Management with a concentration in Small Business Entrepreneurship from DeVry University Naperville IL. My technical Navy background afforded me the opportunity to attend school online while focusing on my family as a wife and a mother and my career as a Navy Sailor.
Thank you for letting me share a little bit about myself, my passion for real-estate and my home buying journey. I look forward to meeting you, working for you, and hearing about your journey too. Let me know how I can be of service.
